NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT
Founded in 1992

Today Academy is one of the most prestigious higher educational establishments in Ukraine.

Around 2 000 students, both full-time and part-time, are currently studying in the Academy in order to get their Bachelors', Specialists' or Masters' degree. More than 200 highly qualified tutors are teaching in the Academy.

The Rector of the Academy - Professor Serhiy Arkadievych Yerokhin,
the known expert in the field of economics, macroeconomics and state regulation. Since 1996 he is the Board member of the State Accreditation Committee. In 1998 his significant personal contribution into the development of education and science in Ukraine was acknowledged by the President's award - Order of Merit (third degree). Professor Yerokhin is the author of many scientific works and textbooks.

The curriculum of the Academy is very flexible; it allows introducing new educational modules and specialties, constant improvement and updating of the teaching courses' quality and content. Choosing the majoring subjects, students also have a wide choice of extra subjects that might help in their future employment.

The British Council in Ukraine has carefully examined programmes and courses offered by the Academy to the students. The report of the British Council has demonstrated that our programmes and courses have been prepared and taught to the highest world standards in education in terms of knowledge depth, courses content and level of teaching. They are acknowledged by the leading universities of the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Switzerland and other countries, as well as by the educational authorities of many countries.

The smart combination of theory and practice allows Academy's graduates be competitive on the contemporary labor market, both in Ukraine and abroad. Employment & Career Promotion Center and NAM Alumni Assosiation are also a helping hand for our present and former students.

The Academy has developed its own computerized library system, has its own cyber space and is working on a brand new concept of distance learning. The Science & Research Center as well as the Foreign Languages Center quench the students' thirst for self-perfection and in every possible way assist their further intellectual and professional development.

Each and every student of the Academy is a unique personality that requires an individual approach. The professional staff of the Academic Department and the course leaders are always ready to help and consult on various academic and personal issues. Grant and scholarship programs are available at the Academy. Residence hall and health service system are provided. There are also broad opportunities for recreation: sport clubs , students' theatre and a music band. The National Academy of Management is the official publisher of the "I am a student" magazine and journals: "Economic Education" and "Actual Problems of Economics". The Academy also publishes textbooks and study guides, many of them are recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

<center><b>Academy's flag</b></center> <br> <br> National Academy of Management has its own flag performed in the orange and yellow colors with the Academy's coat of arms in its centre. In the Christian tradition yellow and orange are the colors of glory, nobility and dignity. Two equal stripes symbolize the most important elements of the Academy - our students and our staff. The equal width of the colored stripes symbolizes the stability of the National Academy of Management.
<center><b>Academy's coat of arms</b></center> <br> <br> Academy's coat of arms is realized in the shape of the traditional pentangular heraldic shield built on the flowing lines. Three semiabstract letters ”N”, ”A” and ”M” are placed in the centre of the shield. They are the first letters of the name - National Academy of Management. The centre of the composition is the image of the open book which symbolizes the source of knowledge. Two semiabstract crossed laurel branches are placed under the letters, at the bottom part of the shield. The banderol under the the shield runs ”VITAE NON SCHOLAE DISCIMUS”, that, translated from Latin, means ”We are studying for life, not for school”.
<center><b>Marigold - the annual award of the Academy</b></center> <br> <br> Best lecturers and students that have made a significant contribution into the Academy's development are awarded by Marigold. It is the bronze statuette of a slender girl as if growing from the flower of marigold which is the averter of the National Academy of Management. This image goes back to the ancient Slavic perceptions of the communion of Man and Nature. The image of the flower-girl that is holding a bunch of marigolds in her raised hands symbolizes the national spirit, youth, creativity and inspiration - the key features of the National Academy of Management.
<center><b>Flower of the Academy</b></center> <br> <br> Marigold is the flower symbol of the National Academy of Management. It is well-known and is widely spread not only in Ukraine but all over the world. The flower of marigold was many times poetized in the songs and is an essential element of the Ukrainian folklore. People's love and respect to this flower is a vital constituent of the Ukrainian national character. This is why we have chosen marigold to be the symbol of the Academy. <br> <br> The flower of marigold symbolizes, first of all, national and democratic principles of work in our institution, secondly, the ability of the Academy to move on, even under the most unfavorable conditions, and thirdly, marigold symbolizes the timeless youth and beauty that are so natural for studentship. <br> <br> Brown, yellow, orange and red colors of the marigold petals are the colors of the National Academy of Management. <br>
<center><b>Flag of NAM Alumni Association</b></center> <br> <br> Flag of the Association consists of three triangles that symbolize trine stability. Two blue triangles at the sides and the yellow triangle in the centre depict blue sky and an upward sunbeam. All three triangles are permeated by the white horizontal stripes that symbolize purity and immensity as well as firmness of the horizontal relations inside the Association. The number of stripes - seven - symbolizes the seven hills of Kyiv, city of the Association. The NAM Alumni Association coat of arms is placed in the centre of the flag. The combination of two blue triangles resembles the trident -the small coat of arms of Ukraine.
